ASA/DXD R 3.0 PCMCIA Card #1326-011
The Partner ASA/DXD PC Card
provides Partner ACS Release 2.0 or higher and offers the following features:
Automatic System Answer helps the system operator handle outside
calls during peak calling periods. When an outside call rings on a
line programmed with Automatic System Answer, the system answers it
after a specified number of rings and plays a short user-recorded
greeting (20 second announcement) to the caller. Then, the system
does one of the following:
1. Places the call on hold at
extension 10 (the outside caller hears Music-On-Hold, if it is
available). While in On Hold Mode, the call will ring a
predetermined amount of times then go on hold. Then you would have
to manually push the blinking line button, as opposed to just
hanging up the handset and have the phone ring.
2.
Continues to ring all extensions that have access to the line (the
outside caller hears Music-On-Hold, if it is available). In Ringing
Mode ext. 10 can hang up line 1 or the call they're on and the phone
will actually ring, the line button doesn't have to be manually
pushed to access the call. You can just hang up the phone or just
push down the switch hook. If other phones are in the Calling Group
initially, they (not extension 10) will continuously ring for a
quick Human Factor answer if necessary to the business. The caller
is actually on hold the entire time hearing the Music on Marketing
on Hold.
3.
Disconnects the call. In Hang Up Mode, the caller hears the
announcement and then is let go.
In ASA mode the caller is
always on hold at Ext. 10, but anyone can monitor or pick up the
call via the red LEDs on their phones. ASA can handle up to a 3-call
queue with the first caller in being the first caller out on a pick
up by pick up basis.
Direct Extension Dial permits
an outside caller to dial an extension or Hunt Group directly,
without the aid of the operator. With Release 3.0 or later, DXD
calls also can be transferred directly into a Calling Group. When an
outside call rings on a line programmed with Direct Extension Dial,
the system picks it up after a specified number of rings and plays a
short message (40 second announcement) prompting the caller to dial
the digits of the designated extension, Hunt Group, or Calling
Group.
